Toward psycho-robots

چکیده
We try to perform geometrization of psychology by representing mental states, " ideas, " ideas by points of a metric space—mental space. Evolution of ideas is described by dynamical systems in metric mental space. We apply the mental space approach for modeling of flows of unconscious and conscious information in the human brain. In a series of models, Models 1-4, we consider cognitive systems with increasing complexity of psychological behavior determined by structure of flows of ideas. Since our models are in fact models of the AI-type, one immediately recognizes that they can be used for creation of AI-systems, which we call psycho-robots, exhibiting important elements of human psyche. Creation of such psycho-robots may be useful improvement of domestic robots. At the moment domestic robots are merely simple working devices (e.g. vacuum cleaners or lawn mowers). However, in future one can expect demand in systems which be able not only perform simple work tasks, but would have elements of human self-developing psyche. Such AI-psyche could play an important role both in relations between psycho-robots and their owners as well as between psycho-robots. Since the presence of a huge numbers of psycho-complexes is an essential characteristic of human psychology, it would be interesting to model them in the AI-framework.

Formation Control and Path Planning of Two Robots for Tracking a Moving Target
This paper addresses the dynamic path planning for two mobile robots in unknownenvironment with obstacle avoidance and moving target tracking. These robots must form atriangle with moving target. The algorithm is composed of two parts. The first part of thealgorithm used for formation planning of the robots and a moving target. It generates thedesired position for the robots for the next step. ...
متن کاملAltered Attitudes of People toward Robots: Investigation through the Negative Attitudes toward Robots Scale
It is important to measure what images, opinions, and attitudes people have developed toward robots and how they can be changed, from scientific and engineering perspectives. This paper reports results of social research on Japanese people’s attitudes toward robots by using “the Negative Attitudes toward Robots Scale (NARS).” They revealed that attitudes toward robots differ depending on assump...
متن کاملEmbodied categorisation for vision-guided mobile robots
This paper outlines a philosophical and psycho-physiological basis for embodied perception, and develops a framework for conceptual embodiment of vision-guided robots. We argue that categorisation is important in all stages of robot vision. Further, that classical computer vision is unsuitable for this categorisation, however, through conceptual embodiment, active perception can be effective. W...
متن کاملDesigning an Optimal Stable Algorithm for Robot Swarm Motion toward a Target
In this paper, an optimal stable algorithm is presented for members of a robots swarm moving toward a target. Equations of motion of the swarm are based on Lagrangian energy equations. Regarding of similar research On the design of swarm motion algorithm, an equation of motion considered constraints to guarantee no collision between the members and the members and obstacles along the motion pat...
متن کاملRabble of Robots Effects: Number and Type of Robots Modulates Attitudes, Emotions, and Stereotypes
Robots are expected to become present in society in increasing numbers, yet few studies in human-robot interaction (HRI) go beyond one-to-one interaction to examine how emotions, attitudes, and stereotypes expressed toward groups of robots differ from those expressed toward individuals. Research from social psychology indicates that people interact differently with individuals than with groups....
